Support The Campaign's Fund Drive

The Campaign to End the Death Penalty is nearing the end of its 1999 national fund drive. With the donations we have already received, we opened a national office. We have reached the halfway mark of our goal of raising $25,000 -- and plans are in place to help raise the remainder.

One great way to raise funds for the Campaign is to hold an event on campus and have it sponsored by the student organizing committee. Often, schools will give money beyond the organization's budget for speakers' fees at the events. The newly formed Atlanta chapter held a "Live From Death Row" event and received funds from the student organizing committee's budget. The event raised $400.

All chapters should be organizing a fundraising event to contribute to the national fund drive -- anything from a concert event to a yard sale. Reaching our fundraising goal means being better able to organize our efforts to end the death penalty once and for all.
