Thank You For Being Our Voice

Dear friends,

I am a condemned prisoner here on San Quentin’s death row. I was very lucky that I was able to get a copy of your newsletter the New Abolitionist and was so impressed with the news that it contained.

I wish that I could afford the $12 to subscribe. I would be very grateful if you could send me back copies that you may have left over from your printing?

I want to thank you for being our voice and standing up for us when so many people just think that we are worthless and do not deserve to live. The fight seems to be getting stronger, and more and more are now seeing the insanity of this law and how there are innocent men being imprisoned and sadly executed.

People like you who bring this to others’ view are so important, and without you saying that it’s wrong, they will continue to kill people--to show that killing is wrong!?! That’s insanity at its best!

Recently, I read that on the death certificate of an executed man, under cause of death, it said: Homicide. I couldn’t believe that! What a crazy country we live in! So I thank you very much for your hard work and commitment to this cause for all of us up here on the rows!!
